2011. February 6, Sunday: Recognition of 2010 performance home and abroad

It is our pleasure to inform our friends about the summary of 2010 results of our dogs in the light of the breed clubs' recognition:

Trek being the very first Hungarian bred border collie gained the title of

PUPPY OF THE YEAR 2010
of the Border Collie Club of Great Britain

Congratulations to this outstanding achievement, everybody is so proud of you!!
We wish further great successes for Ross and Trek in the upcoming season!

We took Star to very limited number of shows in 2010. Unfortunately we had to fight too many obstacles in our privat life (serious illnesses, taking over responsibility in public life).
However it was still enough to gain Hungarian Club Star title again.
He received the Chelsie Cup 2010 as most succesful Forestry Farm dog - this is the title closest to our hearts.

Parents of Star Wendevick Elgar and Forestry Farm Honey Baby both became Club Star Stud Dog and Brood Bitch. Forestry Farm Kennels take over as many years Club Star Kennels title and cup. Congratulations to the owners, Mónika, Attila and Bacca's owner Necco.

We are thankful to all our supporters, and friends for their help, we hope further achievements for 2011.

It was the Central European Cup - club show for British sheepdogs in the organisation of the Slovakian, Austrian and Hungarian clubs - recognised breeders and good competition. Star got CAC in champion class, his half-brother Teddy won open class too. Lola got 4thEx in young bitch class. We were very satisfied with the results. Judge was Ms Liz Cartlidge. Mónika and Attila, thank you for handling Star and Lola!

2010. May 25, Tuesday: Komárom 2xCACIB, Special Club Show photo
Star was shown at the 2 CACIB shows, Lola on all three days, including special club show. Border collies were judged at the CACIB shows by Peggy&Peter Bailey. First day, Star got 3rdEx after Eyes of the World Habana Ron and his half brother Forestry farm Teddy Bear in a strong open class competition. Second day, at Peter Bailey he got ResCAC and ResCACIB. Mr Bailey told us wonderful things about Star, which we are very proud of. Thanks to Paul and Nid (Eyes of the World Kennels) for show preparation of Star and Lola (grooming ang ring training) they both looked and behaved great. Lola, in strong competition got 3rd Ex all three days, she was superb, however still not matured to her age. We met and had fun with lots of friends, weather was nice, it was an enjoyable three-day show! Réka and Stella, thanks for the pictures!

2010. May 10, Monday: CAC - National Allbreed Show Salgótarján photo
Salgótarján CAC was organised in a wonderful valley in Northeast Hungary, very nice venue. Lola got 2nd Ex, out of coat. Judge Mr P.Szabó Béla did not like her at all and said: “... it is the beach where we go without coat...”. Altogether it was a good weekend with a lovely excursion in Börzsöny mountains. We climbed up the castle ruins of Drégely, where a small group of Hungarian heroes stopped the expansion of the huge Turkish Empire's army for a short time in the 16th century.
